Losing Jarrod Saltalamacchia may hurt like no other, but there is no denying what Mark Teixeira offers to the team. He is a proven 40+ Home Run, 120 RBI All Star whom could change the direction of the franchise for the long-run. While I am very upset to lose a top prospect in Salty, I praise Shuerholz and I'm glad we finally have the top 1st baseman in the National League East. Here's to the Future and Here's to our increased chances for the play-offs and beyond in 2008 and Beyond.

Everyone in Atlanta will miss Salty's smile, personality and enthusiasm while with the Braves. We all know he has a bright future ahead and will most-likely dazzle pitchers in the American League. As an observer, it is still strange that Gerald Laird is the #1 catcher in the organization, though will make sure to hold off on the arguing regarding this issue. Hope the Rangers soon enough realize what they have and what could easily be done to make them top contenders in the AL West.
