POST-TOMAHAWK STRESS DISORDER

Post-Tomahawk Stress Disorder: a term for certain severe psychological consequences of exposure to, or confrontation with, leaving the Atlanta Braves Organization, where the player experiences such an event as highly traumatic. Clinically, such events involve actual physical decline in performance and/or psychological integrity, to a degree that usual major league ability are incapable of coping with the impact. In extreme, yet regular cases, being apart for the Atlanta Braves are so dramatic that they will eventually find a way back with the team - Tom Glavine and Javy Lopez.
